El Torito Grill - Brea

We waited 40 minutes for our food, even though the restaurant wasn't busy—just two other tables in our section. Our server was unfriendly and seemed like he didn’t want to be there. When we finally received our meals, they were cold!

You absolutely have to try the lobster quesadilla—it's incredibly delicious! Also, don't miss out on the taquitos; they're so tasty!

This restaurant, now rebranded as ET Grill, is consistently excellent! It's important to note that it shouldn’t be confused with the regular El Torito, which is owned by the same company—ET Grill has a different menu, higher food quality, and a more upscale ambiance compared to the traditional El Torito. I particularly love their carne asada fajitas; the marinade is fantastic, and they arrive sizzling, just as they should. Alongside ET Grill, their flagship location Las Brisas in Laguna Beach and Javier's offer some of the best carne asada fajitas in the OC, LA, and IE areas. I’ve heard the chef is Peruvian, which adds a unique Tex-Mex flavor with a Peruvian twist. The green rice is delicious, the salsa is excellent, and even the black beans are impressive, despite my usual preference for skipping or minimizing beans. They serve freshly made tortillas and guacamole prepared right at your table. Almost everything at this place is superb!

The Sunday brunch is fantastic! They have a wonderful carvery with roasted beef and pork belly. Make sure to arrive early because it fills up quickly. Ceasar was excellent—he was incredibly attentive!

My friend and I who have lunch here frequently are never disappointed. The food is so delicious, and I always get my favorite tostada salad. My friend tried the salad with shrimp and said it was the best! And the service top notch! Antillo has been our server so often that we consider him a friend. He is efficient, has a great memory of what we like, and has such a fun personality. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant it just might turn into a habit for you!
