Kreta - Bremen

It is a great Greek restaurant full in the tradition and with the good quality of other Greek restaurants in this part of town. Just make sure you are there on time, otherwise you will have a hard time with all the locals trying to get a seat. And yes Greek food as it is served there contains a lot of meat. So portions a of a good size and almost always contains some sort of meat. Personally what surprises me each time is that the liver is always prepared in a way that makes it very tasty, not like in other places where you sometimes think you have a piece of rubber. If you don't know what to take... Go for the Kreta Plate or the Ouzo Plate :

If you want to eat a good greek meal here in Bremen, this would be the place to go. Most platter comes with a kraut salad and you can choose between fries and rice. Go for the rice as you can get fries everywhere. The main courses are mainly based on different meat based products in various combinations. You can also get the starters in larger portions as main courses. These would be mostly vegetarian.

In this area of Bremen it is probably one of the good restaurant. The place may look a bit 80's meet Mama Mia film, but the service is very friendly (I am speaking German, so no idea about the English level of the waiter), quick, flexible (wanted some changes in the dishes and got it all). And about the food: well, it is not 100% greece, BUT, the meat.. Soooo good!! Just try!

We had a short stay in Bremen and this time we did not check Tripadvisor before. We passed this restaurant and we decided to try it. The staff was friendly, and the food came fast and the food quality was good, a recommendation.

Nice cosy little restaurant with friendly staff ..... clean and well presented . I ordered the gyros special and have super meal ..... a few little ouzo and a beer or two . Certainly worth another visit ...... lovely little find .
