Wongs - Brentwood

OK this was new years eve but I was told that my order will take to deliver, but was told if we collected it would be even quicker. Told to come up to thr restaurant in an hours time and it would be ready....My husband waited an extra hour up there in the entrance hall. So all in all took hours to cook. Not happy and all we got offered was a can of coke order.. never again!

Awful service. Ordered at Told it would an be just over an hour. When i chased them hey said it was in a car being delivered. Total lie. At Im then told a load of nonsense. Got a refund BUT would not recommend...at all. Used to be okay. Now avoid.

My family and I have been loyal customers of Wongs for several years, and we have never been disappointed. Unlike many Chinese takeaways in Brentwood, Wongs consistently delivers delicious food. Our usual order includes their special fried rice with fresh chillies, chicken and sweetcorn soup, dry ribs, chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, and chicken chow mein. As someone who is familiar with London's Chinese takeout, I can say that Wongs is the best within the area and offers a unique and tasty experience compared to other Essex Chinese takeaways.

The food served at this restaurant is terrible. The crispy pork balls were dry, tough, and impossible to eat. The chicken and cashew nut dish was just bland broth with low-quality chicken and frozen vegetables. This restaurant is nowhere near providing authentic and delicious food. It was a complete waste as all the food ended up in the trash. I requested a refund and was only offered a discount on my next order, which I declined. I would need to be paid to ever eat here again. This experience was extremely disappointing, especially since it was meant to be a special treat.

I have been a loyal customer of Wong's for many years as a local, but as others have mentioned, since the new owners took over, the quality of the food has severely declined. I reluctantly gave them one last chance, only to be disappointed once again. All of the food ended up in the trash, and now we have to cook our own meal.
