They have a section on menu specifically for fried seafood platters, and seperately under sandwiches they identify the fried fish sandwich as fried, yet they don't tell you the salmon burger is fried (deep fried). Just as I would not expect a crab cake to be deep fried, I do not expect a salmon burger to be deep friend. Pan fried, fine. Sauteed, fine. And it was over fried so you had those hard crispy edges. I was looking for something relatively healthy and this was dripping with grease and I could not eat it this place is not the place. $55.00 for a minimal lunch for 2. I know it's Cape Cod so I expect to overpay. But eeesh!
A great fish market and restaurant tucked away in Brewster but worth looking for. Very clean, nice staff and an excellent assortment of fresh fish. Generous portions well cooked. I’ll be going back soon, I’m sure.
Went there because a local recommended there clam chowder. Turns out it is not made there. It is made my some local company (Blount Fine Foods, Fall River, MA), and includes includes corn starch, sugar, glutamic acid. It tastes fine, but not worth a detour. Granted, some of my favorite local small places probably all buy their chowder from somewhere else too. The price is reasonable...$6 for 9oz. But if you're looking for homemade, look elsewhere.
Foods alright, but the price is relatively high for the quality and portions (at least for the fried scallops). Check out what should have been scallops with a side of fries, which looks more like fries with a side of scallops (for transparency, I ate two scallops before the photo). Several places within a ten minute drive offer bigger portions (about double the scallops) and/or higher quality for the about the same price. Anyway, scallop texture ranged from good to slightly overcooked, fries were perfect. Scallop batter was crispy and not thick at all. If the portions were bigger or the price lower, this would be a 4 or even 5 star review without hesitation.
We use to love coming here as the food was delicious and price was good. Since 2020 prices have consistently gone up every year while nothing about the food has changed except the menu becoming more limited. It has unfortunately become too expensive to go to at this point a bowl of 1 cup of rice, cup of veggies and 6 oz swordfish cost around $30 use to cost under $20 about four years ago
