I always respect healthcare professionals and have a right to ask questions about my fathers condition. While staying in the hospital the only way to ask questions and find out status of my father was to escalate to the Patient Advocate or speak with a nurse practitioner. Fortunately the NP and Patient Advocates were very cooperative and helpful. My advice to the hospital is to train your nurses on professional behaivior and how to deal with family trying to learn status of loved ones in the hospital. I wasn't rude and certainly not looking to give anyone a hard time. We have a right to ask questions and certainly did not try to tell anyone how to do their job. While my father was in rehab I received several calls from Social workers telling me they were going to kick my father out and to find another rehab ASAP. On a Sunday afternoon a Social Worker called and told me they were releasing my father later that day and make arrangements to pick him up. She said this only to upset me and when I looked at the order to release him understood he would be released in a few days. Telling me to pick up a 93 year old sick person on a Sunday was just cruel and sadistic. Shame on you Stacey! Most of the nurses are absolutely cruel and mistreat patients. There are some exceptions and good nurses there but the good ones are not the norm. I would not recomend this hospital for this reason. The hospital should realize having such a rude and cruel nursing staff contributes to the perception the hospital is sub par and has issues. This does not help anyone. Why does a 10 minute conversation with NP go extremely well after a rude nurse hangs up the phone on you? Something is very wrong here and needs to be corrected.
I cannot say enough great things about the doctors and nursing staff on the fourth floor. Sam, Debbie, Lea, and the whole team made my hospital stay enjoyable. Which is never something I thought I would say. I will travel 2 hours south for that care anytime.
I came this hospital Last year it's was good to get care for but now I definitely don't like this hospital at all staff is very very rude and not clear in some rooms your doctor are rude dealing with patients I definitely rather not come back here for nothing anymore to this hospital
For any men who are applying for housekeeping, Stay away. It’s a female ran staff. You won’t see many males. The director is discriminative towards men. And if You have a death in the family, You won’t have a job when You return. If You contact the president, He hides behind his staff. Stay away. Go to another hospital.
I showed up here after months of pretty terrible foot and ankle pain. I had injured myself running, and couldn 't get it together. They took x-rays, and basically told me they saw nothing. I even asked the radiologist... Hmmm, glad I can count on the doctor. All I had was a dislocated toe. I was offered no support bandaging, not even ice for swelling, advice, nothing. Weeks after my visit, I curiously started pulling on my toes. One gave me this weird sense of relief while also still in pain. In the weeks to follow, my ankle and toe pain subsided and I can walk without limping again.I hope the next time I 'm injured I just die. $3k bill and they offered me absolutely nothing. I will offer them nothing as well. What an awful experience.
