Gather Tap And Tavern - Bridgeport

The restaurant has an intriguing atmosphere as it’s located in a former bank, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The service was extraordinarily poor and the staff seemed generally uninterested. The food was stale, bland, and overpriced, falling far short of the enticing menu advertised online. The actual offerings were limited and resembled a standard, unexciting club menu. They didn't provide glasses for water and ice, and a 15% gratuity was automatically added for our small party of two. Additionally, our simple questions went unanswered. Overall, it’s clear that they don’t put in any effort here, which was disappointing, especially considering there was a concert happening just down the street that night.

I would never recommend this place. What's the point of having an online menu if it doesn't reflect what they actually serve?

After driving over an hour to get there and arriving half an hour early, it was frustrating to have to wait until showtime. It was quite disappointing, especially since they had our contact information and could have notified us earlier in the day that service would be delayed. When we had lunch next door, the food was cold and not particularly enjoyable. On a positive note, the comedy show itself was fantastic! It was clear they were short-staffed and overwhelmed, so I would be willing to give them another chance. However, my overall impression of the food and service was definitely lacking. Additionally, parking wasn't great either.
