Írjon visszajelzéstI had a terrible experience with High Time, a catering service I booked for a special occasion. Initially, I was promised that they would only take one event per day, but in the months leading up to my event, I found it nearly impossible to get a response to my emails. The day before my event, I received an email stating they had double-booked and that the caterer would not be available. Luckily, I spotted the email while at work, as I had to take an emergency day off to sort things out—no easy task in the NHS! When I tried to call, my calls went unanswered, but when my partner called, they responded immediately. The caterer was dismissive and rude, claiming she had known for days about her scheduling mix-up. She attempted to book another caterer but was unable to find anyone on such short notice. When my partner pointed out that she had ruined our event, she became quite defensive. We requested that she cancel the other booking to focus on our confirmed date, as we had evidence of our prior discussions. However, she refused to consider that option. We had to repeatedly ask for our deposit back so we could look for alternatives, and while she promised to return the funds promptly, it only happened after my partner spoke to her on the phone, where she was rude again. I later discovered through Facebook that many others had similar negative experiences with this service. They often double-book events despite their promises, causing confusion over who would actually show up, leading to late arrivals, poor-quality food, and caterers unfamiliar with the menu. Thankfully, we managed to secure an amazing alternative catering service, but the ordeal with High Time was frustrating. While we did eventually get our deposit back, many others have not been so fortunate, with the caterer ceasing communication altogether. Additionally, it appears they have blocked reviews on their social media platforms and website. I updated my review on 20/10/2022 to warn others about my experience.
They require a deposit and maintain communication until a few weeks before the event, after which they become unresponsive. Getting a refund is nearly impossible, and they only offer apologies after the complaints arise.
Lynn was supposed to handle my 50th birthday party last month. She took full payment but did not show up on the day of the event. After reading similar reviews, I now realize I was scammed. A few days after the party, she sent me an email saying she was uncomfortable and offered a refund, which I never received. I have reported her to trading standards. Does anyone have advice for someone who has been deceived by her?
We have booked lynn 'vegan food pimp ' over 2 years ago for our high time, which has finally taken place due to covid on Saturday 24 September. at the time she had many positive reviews and several free online articles. read the following reviews I can only assume that she had fallen on bad times and in the last 18 months and as a result began to tear off her customers. sufficient to say after the payment in full lynn's contact with us and the venue was irritated. our host the latest music bar (excellent people) found it very difficult to contact her in the week, which until the high time and. scent is to say that she did not appear on the day, let us out of the bag and was forced to order pizzas for our guests. we called the venue called, lynn has not answered, I have been emailed and whatsapped. still. very disappointed and angry. we will follow a full refund and 't be shy away from court proceedings.
We had booked Lynn in July 2021 ready for our wedding in August 2022. We loved the sample menu and paid the deposit to secure the date. We agreed the second instalment were to be paid after having a taste test. In September 2021 I received an email saying we were late paying the second instalment. I replied apologising but explained that we had agreed to pay the second instalment only after tasting. Lynn’s next email suggested that we were wrong for wanting a taste test as “no one has never not enjoyed my food”. Within her email, Lynn suggested that the quote provided would change if we didn’t pay “as with everything increasing so fast we want to be sure we can stick to all our original quotes”. I tried to contact Lynn but the constant out of office with no return date was the most response I ever received. We were going to have the wedding in our garden however we had to find an alternative venue. Our new venue was only 13 minutes extra for Lynn. All other suppliers confirmed within 24 hours they would be happy to change the venue. It took daily emails over the course of a month for Lynn com back to us. However she expressed this would have high extra costs and “I am having to redo all the bookings for this”. Lynn had never said that she needed to book anything in addition, we are unsure what those extra bookings were. We had provided Lynn with a kitchen at the original and second venue. At 4pm on Saturday 27th August I received a phone call from our wedding venue to say Lynn had a medical and therefore will not be at our wedding. Our wedding was on Sunday 28th at 3pm. The phone came from a mysterious lady who was Lynn 's friend claiming “I can 't leave my name I am just doing a good deed” a suddenly hanging up. 1. What was the plan of action when something goes wrong? She said the preparation would have been done the day before, couldn 't one of her team drop off the food? After talking with Lynn, we find out none of the preparation had even been started, she was in Devon. 2. How did the friend know who to call? The communication was always through our wedding coordinator not the venue itself. 3. Why didn 't she contact the client, me? Luckily, I had mentioned to our venue this may happen and we should plan for it. The Granary did an incredible job! We sympathise with Lynn and hoped she has a quick recovery but would also like a refund as we have paid for two wedding breakfasts. Lynn has not even acknowledged what upset she has caused.
