Írjon visszajelzéstGreat little local place on Grand River. Just keep driving South past the chains and man, there's a lot of chains. This little gem will reward with homemade soups and sandos. I ordered the Reuben, which is always a good litmus test for any restaurant with aspirations. Theirs is served on two big pieces of rye (unseeded minus 1/2 star) from Zingermans bakery in Ann Arbor. It had an awesome crunchy griddle to it that gave way to the warm gooey center of corned beef and cheese. Toppings could've been distributed a little more evenly on mine, but that's what you get sometimes. No soup and sando option unless you do grilled cheese (minus 1/2 star). Really wanted to try cream if mushroom on this zero degree day, but didn't wanna shell out the extra $5. Great place with a full bar to boot. I'd keep this place on my radar of in the area again. Cheers!
One of my favorite restaurants in Michigan. Pro: Service is amazing; I believe they taste all of the food on the menu and give you great suggestions. Food is great, fresh and you not only know you're eating healthy but you feel like you are eating healthy. Best mushroom soup I've ever had anywhere. Very creative menu; not your boring chili's restaurant. Con: Tables are pretty close so when they are slammed pack; like they usually are; then it's hard to get by. Some items are pricier than normal. There is not a location near me.
Passing through Brighton and as usual, consulted Yelp to guide us for a late lunch. Thankfully, it led us here. It 's unassuming, on the busy stretch of retail roadway amongst miles of chain restaurants and is indeed, definitely worth the stop. My husband and I shared the Classic Reuben (we went with the turkey) and the Croque Madame having been sold on the Zingerman 's bread mentioned on the reuben. They were both delicious (the bechamel on the croque madame was excellent) and the sandwiches very generous in size. We agreed that we enjoyed them both equally, which is slightly rare since I will usually favor a good turkey reuben over everything. Their lunch box concept is adorable and fun (think bento box, but not Asian cuisine) and we 'd love to return for that the next time we 're in the area.
The wooden Spoon never fails to impress. This is one of my go to spots. The food is always impeccable, the restaurant is always clean and the wait staff are outstanding. They make delicious drinks. My only complaint is I don't love the seating in the dining room. But with how amazing everything else I can't give this place anything but 5 Stars.
Decided to have lunch here today and my wife and I were certainly glad we did . We shared a half Cherry Festival salad and were delighted when the waitress brought it to the table already split for us, which we really appreciate. I tried the Kentucky Hot Brown turkey sandwich which was excellent and my wife had the Wholly Cow which was a shaved beef sandwich. She also found the sandwich to her liking. Chips were included with the sandwiches and we brought them home as well as half of both of our sandwiches.. We will return for another round of lunch sometime in the future.
