U Zlatého Meče - Brno

Nice Pilsner, really awesome Guláš! It's served with potato pancakes instead of dumplings, which is both strange and deliciously satisfying! Nice servers, good prices for the location!

The restaurant was full during lunch time so I needed to sit outside (still a little bit chilli, but I managed). Mostly Czech meals in the offer, but I had sous-vide venison with potato rösti from the restaurant's daily lunch menu, which is more international. The meal was ok. I liked potato rösti as it was an interesting change. It's possible to pay with the Sodexo card, which I find very useful.

Definitely a disappointment. I had some schnitzels, which definitely seemed like they had just been taken out of the freezer. The dressing in their Ceasar salad was everything but good. The lemonade was quite nice though, but all in all, this is not a place that I would recommend. There are far better options in Brno in my opinion.

Bit expensive and not so tasty restaurant in center of Brno. If cook will use less salt and fresh potatoes, it'll closer to final price :

The food is OK, but you can eat better or cheaper elsewhere. Nothing special is much overpriced. Beware, they only accept cash in cronies or euros, a typical tourist trap
