Írjon visszajelzéstI lived down the street from Bedouin Tent from 2006 — 2010 and it was always my go to local spot. I have some left NYC but everytime I come back, which is 5-6x a year, I always try to pay homage to this neighborhood eatery. Since I'm mostly vegetarian these days, my go to is the 5 Salad assortment, the fresh pita and a Turkish coffee and sometimes I'll add their delicious falafel or their cold mint tea (so refreshing! . Great middle eastern food at a decent price. The menu is not super large, but everything the do they do well. The homemade pita bread is the best.
Very nice staff and food, especially the rice in grape leaves and hummus. Food came very quickly and vibe was nice.
Tabbouleh was not citrusy or acidic like authentic tabbouleh is, and was kinda meh. The lamb sandwich was also just okay. The space did not feel clean (dead bugs and crumbs all over the floor). Our server was friendly though and they have decent portions.
The food used to be good a few years back. But the new ownership changed the taste of the food. So the quality sucks now. Not to mention the new owner doesn't seem to be fond of black people. And sad because he's a man of color himself. One thing is…I won't tolerate racist restaurant owners in the neighborhood I put my hard earned taxes in. I might just call the black lives matter movement because of the horrible treatment I've seen him give this black couple. I was so disgusted and hurt.
