David's Café - Broad Channel

The food is good, a basic no frills spot serving basic brunch options. I found it to be interesting, almost a hint of Indian flavor in the chicken sandwich. This is a popular choice for a diverse set of people, all closely seated to each other. The reason this is getting 3 stars is because the service is awful. I don’t know if the waiter was having a bad day, but they were clearly making it obvious they were unhappy. I usually don’t care for the service to be friendly, but at least be nice to the customer and don’t stare them down.

Stopped here for brunch. I was very disappointed by the food and value. The burgers are similar to taste and size to McDonalds. A $19 burger was un-filling, the patties the size of a McDonalds and gave me a stomach ache. The place, the kitchen seems dirty. I don’t recommend eating here. $100+tip for 2 burgers, a sandwich and French toast (which was substandard), 3 coffees.

Food was good, but the French toast was a really small portion for $16 (one piece of toast). The pancakes were good, though

By far one of the best brunches I’ve ever had. Went with the classic eggs Benedict which came with home fries which is truly an understatement as to how good these potatoes were. Secondly the eggs were cooked perfectly, as they broke and cascaded the English muffin beautifully. A symphony of flavors. Their peach sangria is what I can only describe as a “nectar of the gods”.

Really good food, amazing waiters! Slightly long wait for a table but it’s well worth it. Highly recommend!!
