I enjoyed the Watermelon Cooler and the pizza, but not enough to warrant a return visit solely for them. The cocktail tasted like watermelon juice, and the pizza dough had a pastry-like quality. I did appreciate the spacious and cozy ambiance, especially since it wasn't crowded when I visited. I can imagine it becoming quite loud once it's packed. I later revisited to check out the underground speakeasy, and it was quite a puzzling experience. I loved the atmosphere, which featured nice decor, and I found it intriguing that the waitresses perform with jazz piano and even sing. Unfortunately, the cocktails, including the highball, were among the worst I’ve had. They tasted as if I was separately sipping juice and alcohol, resulting in an awkward mix in my mouth where the flavors didn’t complement each other at all. I’m keeping my original four-star rating because the ground-floor restaurant was decent, and I still really enjoyed the ambiance of the underground speakeasy.
Our waitress was attentive, and our food was served quickly. The cocktails were delicious, though they didn’t pack as much of a punch as some other places I've been to. I highly recommend the street corn; it was fantastic with great flavors. We also really enjoyed the wings—they were crispy and well-seasoned. The calamari was tender and fresh, but I would have preferred smaller pieces as the rings were quite large; bite-sized would have been better. The chicken sliders were another hit—crispy and full of flavor. My friend tried a few mocktails and really liked them. If you’re looking for a nice atmosphere with music, it’s enjoyable, but don’t expect to hold a conversation; it was incredibly loud. I was surprised by the volume in such a small space. We struggled to hear each other, so we decided to leave once we finished our food.
I visited this restaurant after catching a Broadway show on a Sunday night. Although I was disappointed to find that the speakeasy was closed, I couldn't resist the charming Aperol Spritz decor! I decided to order the cheeseburger, cooked medium rare, and it was absolutely perfect—probably one of the best burgers I've had in ages. It's a generous size, and I'm glad I chose to share it. I'm definitely looking forward to making my next reservation here! A special thanks to Stephanie for her kindness!
This place is a hidden gem with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The interiors are captivating, and the overall vibe is fantastic. It's perfect for having great conversations. The food and service are both excellent.
Aside from the intriguing bathroom decor, the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, making it a lovely choice for a date night. However, for those on a budget, there are certainly more affordable options available. The broccolini was quite tasty; with just a bit less char, it would have been perfect. The wings weren't my top choice, but they were still decent. The fries were hot and nicely salted, and surprisingly paired well with the steak, which was on the milder side in terms of saltiness. I can't wait to return!
