Hudson Garden Grill - BRONX

I always have a meal at the Hudson Garden Grill when I come to the NY Botanical Garden. The food is fresh and delicious. The menu is always interesting. The service is excellent and the wait staff is always accommodating. It's a total treat

The food was, as always, excellent. Service here is usually slow, but this time it was very slow and rather poor. Lunch took two hours, during which time the server rarely checked in; we had to ask for more water. He took away my iced tea glass without asking whether I wanted a refill, and did not ask my guest whether she wanted more coffee. Prices have gone up, and service on this occasion, at least, was far the worst I've seen here. I would recommend HGG for the food, always, but not for quality or attentiveness of service.

Good service. Nice ambience. The crab cake was smaller than expected.

We sat outside and the waiter forgot about us. He also wasn't visibly happy to be helping us when he did. I had to keep jumping up to ask for water and when the food would be coming out after 45 min of waiting. This is the second time I have come here for lunch. Will try again and sit inside and see if that is any different. Food is good. Setting is nice. Service was below par.

Though always a highlight of our NYBG outings as we so enjoyed the food setting, our HGG experience over several visits indicate this establishment lacks a sense of what basic restaurant customer service is about.....especially the wait staff we've encountered during 4 out of 5 visits....really needs a lot more professional training, including attitude.
