Clementine Bakery - Brooklyn

Exquisite vegan bakery in Brooklyn that offers a selection of vegan and/or gluten free pastries, breakfast sandwiches and great coffee. Staff were very lovely, especially the redhead from Dublin whom we had a lovely chat with. I’ve never had a better croissant or pain au chocolate – these were seriously on point! Also enjoyed the BLAT sandwich and a few day old scones and muffins for only $1.50. Love that they are conscious about waste as well. Will definitely return when I’m back in Brooklyn.

Great place for an occasional vegan treat, although the pastry can veer into too-oily or way-too-sweet territory. They have nice cabanas for hanging out and it’s a pretty vibey social neighborhood environment. Their day-old pastry bin is a good way to try things out without breaking the bank. I can’t speak much to their main food menu except to rave about the biscuits gravy. The customer service ranges from begrudging to outright disdainful, so don’t expect too much in that department.

The best vegan bakery in nyc no question. worth the trek always. the matcha latte is also pretty fire. i love the almond croissants and the scones.

I have waited a long time to write this (I've been in the neighborhood ten years) but it's kinda at that point. The amount of times I have to return because it's not a gluten free bagel, the wrong kind of bagel or cream cheese is 3/3 for the past week. In the past they have used the wrong bread for sandwiches and thankfully I'm well aware what normal bread is like. All I ask is the staff and kitchen take it more seriously or just stop offering gluten free like they aren't putting customers like myself at severe risk. Every time I order here I inspect what I get and if you are gluten free and ordering anything from the kitchen, I advise you do too. After ten years though, I still love the place. This is just a liability that I feel needs to be addressed.
