Malai Ice Cream - Brooklyn

I was torn between the Rose with Cinnamon Roasted Almonds, Masala Chai, and Lemon Cardamom Ice Cream, so I decided to try all three! I'm really happy I did because each one is absolutely perfect. I highly recommend all of them!

The ice cream has a smooth and velvety texture, with a delicately subtle flavor profile. The sweetness enhances a variety of intriguing combinations, such as the Rose with Cinnamon Roasted Almonds. Overall, it's an ice cream that feels very light on the palate.

The ice cream here is incredibly creamy and made from fresh ingredients, so you really can't go wrong. The rose and saffron flavors are quite subtle; I found the combination of rose with cinnamon and the peda to be more appealing to an American taste. However, I ordered the Ghugra a few days ago and absolutely loved it—it felt much closer to a traditional Indian dessert. Overall, the quality of the ice cream is still very high, and I can't wait to try more flavors.

The best one we liked was the red chili chocolate (it was surprisingly really good) the rest were just okay. We felt the Turkish Coffee had too much cardamom and less coffee.
