Peppino's - Brooklyn

I absolutely love the Brick Oven Margarita pizza paired with the house salad at this restaurant. I also enjoy the IDUNNO, which is a half calzone/half pizza, perfect for groups. The pastas are delicious and the specials are always good. However, the desserts are a bit disappointing. Overall, I would give this restaurant a solid A-/B+ rating. It's a classic neighborhood spot for pizza and pasta with a cozy family atmosphere.

I recently ordered a takeout pizza from this place and found it to be just okay. The dough was quite chewy and overcooked, while the sauce lacked flavor and was overly salty. Despite ordering a large pie, it looked more like a regular-sized pizza.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere with a authentic brick oven. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I personally didn't enjoy the fresh mozzarella on the pizza, and neither did my kids. It seems to be a common style of pizza in NYC, so for those who enjoy it, it may be fantastic. As the reviews below indicate, it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion.

Every time I?ve ordered from Peppino?s the pizza is delivered quickly, warm and tastes like it just came out the oven. Friendly service and such good pizza. Pictured below is the Pizza Parlor with pepperoni, yumm!

Good pizza, good flavors, and seems like they have a whole bunch of takeout orders and pick ups as well. Space is a little small, so definitely consider taking it to go. Prices are a little steep. Cheaper if you pay with cash, extra charge for using credit cards.
