Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Boerum Hill

The Affogato at Big Face Coffee is incredible. I wish they had some Knickscream!

This restaurant serves the best ice cream! The simple ingredients are not overly sweet and are made with real vanilla bean.

The drinks were not filled to the top, only about two-thirds full. The Lemon Yuzu Sorbet was very sour, but the Vegan Pina Colada was enjoyable.

Wonderful ice cream such delicious flavors, both workers were cheerful and delightful In suggesting flavors. Ended up with the chocolate fudge brownie and vanilla bean I was sold on it by the gentleman (wish I’d gotten his name) who said it was the best vanilla out there and he wasn’t wrong!! Creamy, smooth, and delicious. Definitely worth every penny I drifted to ice cream heaven!!

I made the mistake of grabbing a pint of mint to go so that I could walk back to my hotel room and enjoy it. Unfortunately I didn't read the container and I grabbed vegan oat ice cream. It might taste good to vegans but I didn't like it. It wasn't the right consistency and it wasn't creamy like a dairy ice cream would be. It was 98% my fault because I'm bad about not reading packaging sometimes but it would be nice if they mentioned it was vegan at the check out. Still I acknowledge it was my fault but unfortunately I can't speak on how good their regular ice cream is.
