La Luck - Bruxelles

Don't be fooled by the stars I've given, they only serve to soften my opinion towards gaming sommeliers who do a crazy job while everything seems to be falling apart around them. With a good group of friends, great habit of going to Luck in the evening on weekends but for 2/3 months, we stopped trying to understand, it is no longer the same establishment, neither more nor less and it probably won't be anymore. From my experience, between 2019 and a few months ago, it was a crazy place managed by crazy people in the business, with quality listening/attention at all levels. You walked in and within 30 seconds there was a pick up, a simple “I’ll be there in a moment” is enough. The beer fridge made us discover many excellent beers, of all types, from all parts of the world, today, the beer menu is very difficult, no longer any originality, products that can be found everywhere else in the city . The cuisine was in detail, our last visit ended with a cold brunch. The cocktails were original, innovative and delicious, we felt a real creative work where today, this originality is no longer. We took one last shot with Télio and Titouan on one last song, we danced and we left happy. Change can be very complicated, we all know that, but here we are talking about a descent into hell and I don't blame anyone, except perhaps the boss since to arrive at such mediocrity in cooking, of politeness of service, you must not take care of your establishment or at least, only want to gain from it. I therefore do not blame any person on site and on the contrary wish you courage. Very sad to see a place that we cherish, full of memories, fallen into disrepair like this. I work in Horeca and these are patterns that I have seen repeated year after year, and like other opinions, we reap what we sow, that is to say the loss of customers. You don't have to be a genius marketer to understand this. Finally, Brussels is big and there is no shortage of places to go out.

We arrive at the bar for a friend's birthday. We go to the bar to order a beer and we are told that we will not be served because there is an hour left before closing. We tell them if it's not possible to have the beer in a bottle to just drink it straight from the bottle and throw it away, they tell us that it's not possible, even though there is ONE HOUR left for closing. Moreover, when we asked for the bottle, the waiter, tall, thin with a nose piercing, started to speak to us in a very unpleasant manner, to tell us that we had only to arrive before and that we must arrive at the time to events, as if he knew what we had to do first and that he had the right to lecture us. Very unpleasant experience.
