Social 1 - Bucharest

I did not write a review the first time I went to Social 1, hopping it was my fault by ordering the menu of the day, even though the food should be good no matter what. All the food was bad, but the Caesar salad was the worst!! The waiter explained it was reinterpreted! I will post the picture and you be the judge. Anyway do not go there, is tempting, the location and view is amazing, but the food is trash. If you go, order coffee!

On my husbands birthday our friends suggested going to Social 1, being up and about with three children. The staff was very friendly, and handed out something helpful for children activities (like drawing, playing with straws etc). The food was excellent, we tried some salads, pastas, vegetarian lasagna and baba ganoush. We ate it all! It was delicious. Recommended!

Local acogedor con moderna decoración cerca del palacio del Parlamento. Carta no muy extensa,probamos pasta, hamburguesa, humus, postres, todo correctos. Precio medio.

The sea bass was great, quesadilla good. Recommended deserts were very good. Great service troughout the evening. Also a large variety of drinks.

This is definitely my favourite place to eat in Bucharest. And this is not just because of the food, but because of the atmosphere (brilliant decor, lighting, attention to details and very good music) and the excellent staff (they are extremely well trained, very polite, attentive and fast). I like to go here no matter the time of day: for breakfast (you should try their Fritattone), brunch, lunch or dinner. They have a very divers menu, something for every taste, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian. I really love and wholeheartedly recommend their Social 1 Burger with fries on the side (they are truly home made), Beef Salad and Panko crusted Camembert. For desert my favourite is the Apple pie (the creme anglaise is just brilliant!). They also have some special, original drinks in their menu currently that you should try.It is a perfect place to go out with your partner or a couple of friends. But it is still a sort of classy restaurant, so please do not use it for hanging out loudly with friends, it could ruin the atmosphere for everyone else. In conclusion, it is a place worth trying if you are passing through Bucharest or if you live here. You won't regret it, I promise! I just love it!
