The Port Of Peri Peri - Buffalo Grove

I've been visiting this restaurant for a few years now, and I can confidently say that this location offers the best food and service I've experienced. Whether I order the chicken and rice bowl or the burger with cassava fries, the attention to detail is outstanding. Despite being a bit understaffed in recent months, they continue to provide excellent food and prioritize their customers, even when mistakes occur.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a year, and we finally went today. We were not disappointed! Our child ordered a mild dish that still had a nice kick to it, and he absolutely loved it. My husband had the medium quarter chicken and was smitten. I ordered the spicy chicken and rice bowl, and it was perfect. The falafel was also great—not too dry and packed with flavor. We would definitely order the same dishes again, maybe even doubling the fries with peri sauce next time. Don’t wait a year like we did!

As a vegan, I absolutely loved their falafel pita! It was incredibly fresh and crispy, and the garlic side perfectly complemented the sandwich. I'm very impressed, and I'll definitely be coming back. I highly recommend you try it!

Edit on 4 stars after the recognition of the owner desire to improve on customer experience. Chicken sometimes is dry and for some strange reason they would not let us order large Cassava pommes only regular size. In general, I will order again for their unique taste and Cassava frits.

Found multiple hairs in my food today. Scheduled pickup for 11:45, arrived then, and my food was sitting there cold.
