Best restaurant in town. Excellent fish and a really friendly owner Mr. Porcupine.

No visit to Maninjau is complete without a stop here to try some fresh lake fish. Can highly recommend the Soursop lakefish curry and Soursop juice if you want to try something local and also a little bit different!

This place is wonderful at the lakeside. The fish, lobster and gado-gado we had were delicious.The owner, named porcupine (because he used to make necklaces with the goad) was very friendly and we had a warm welcoming. Right at the beginning we were served fresh passion fruits from his garden.

All of Maninjau clearly was a tourist place 10 years ago. Now you will be one of few. There is not much to do there anymore but the view from your water side bungalow is amazing! Waterfront Zalino is one of few restaurants which is a good place to eat. Nice local good as a fresh grilled fish is something to consider eating. A bit overpriced though but it’s a welcome change if you’re already used to the Indonesian kitchen.
