Oxford 152 - Bulimba

I have now been to 152 a few times, my partner raves about their steak. While the prices do appear to be on the steep side, they usually have some quality specials. Last night my partner had rump and ribs for $24.95, which is not bad. My go to the buffalo wings! Staff are friendly, occasionally there is a wait, however this is usually when the resto is full, which can be expected.

Pre christmas lunch. What a lovely surprise wife had crispy skin salmon with a delicious mash potato with pawn tortilla what a delicious combination. I went for duck and mushroom risotto, went to heaven, stupendous. Staff attentive and allowed the salmon to be cooked the way wife likes..(probably over) I'd come back. I wasnt expecting much by the previous reviews, but in saying that, my tastes can be different from others. Also the staff were great and other RVs had the staff as ****, so that can make a difference.

Never disappointed with Oxford 152 meals. You always get a good hearty dish cooked well and never stingey. Service is always very friendly. Can never complain about them. Tonight I had the slow Braised beef ragu with Pappardelle. Was beautiful. The beef just melts in your mouth..

My friend and I dined here for a mid-week lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is well appointed and nicely air conditioned for the hot day.  I had The Graziers Rump with seasonal vegetables, mash and Diane sauce. Firstly, I was pleased that I was allowed to order mashed potato even though it was listed as an item for my meal. So, the flexibility to change the order was appreciated. My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The vegetables were steamed just to right and not dry or soggy which is always a nice bonus when dining out. . The entire meal (considering I might call this dish traditional 'Pub Grub') was packed full of flavour, presented well and served hot.  My friend had the Braised Pork Belly with creamy mash, buttered sprouts, fennel and quince jus. She tells me her meal was divine also.  $29  a piece for each meal which I thought was a couple of dollars on the steep side.  But, then again, I'm happy to pay when the quality is right, which in this case it was.

Went here for lunch. Service was absolutely terrible, 20 minutes had gone by and no one had taken our order. It wasn't that busy as some of the wait staff had enough time to talk amongst themselves. It got to the point where I had to actually get up and ask someone to serve us and got no apology for the long wait. In saying that the food was great and it is a nice venue, it's just a shame about the service.
