Nicola's Ristorante - Bunbury

My husband and I recently moved to Bunbury and are absolutely delighted to have found Nicolas. I can honestly say 10 years in Perth and we have never come across an Italian restaurant that serves food of this quality. We have never waited for service, our drinks are always full and staff are always at the ready to help or take our orders. I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough and look forward to many years ahead of dining here!

Our second time back here, with our kids, and it was flawless again!!! Whenever we stay a night in Bunbury its become our favourite place to dine. Kids enjoy the colouring in and the care shown towards them, nothing is too hard, Ian & Co have all great staff. We enjoyed the Mini truffle loaf which was an amazing starter to show us the quality of what was to come. For mains we had the red pesto risotto with shaved prosciutto... 10 out of 10... and I'm Italian, AND my mum cooks a mean one, but the flavours here are out of this world. My wife had the Pork Sausage with Egg Plant Parmigiana, again she raved about the flavour. We finished off the night with an incredible Baileys Creme Brulee and Bomboloni. Can't wait for our next visit.

Have just been back to this little gem after trying various others on other trips down to Bunbury, and have been reminded why I keep coming back. Staff are always friendly and the service prompt. The crumbed Brie antipasto was deliciously oozy and generous. I went with the recommended specials of braised lamb ravioli with a truffled cream sauce and rocket instead of my originally intended prawn and scallop ravioli with the truffled cream sauce and was not disappointed. The ravioli was perfectly al dente and the filling delicious. As I find the servings generous enough for me I never eat dessert but the menu is impressive. I will be back!

Found a whole lot of glowing reviews on Trip Advisor so this place was picked for lunch for our group of 7. There was a $20 lunch special promo going on which we all decided to go for. I ordered the creamy prawns with rice. The rice came out undercooked and I was served a grand total of 5 prawns which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure $20 could have bought me at least a few more prawns. The worst part? I ended up with a tummy ache 15 minutes after (so it has to have been the food) and was visiting the toilet repeatedly for the rest of the day. My buddy's meals were all of low standard and quality as well. Only 1 out of 7 enjoyed the meal. The service staff who took our food orders kindly offered us side salads which some of us said yes to until only of my buddies pointed out that the salad would cost $8. I didn't like the way they tried offering food to us as if it was complimentary and thenh when the bill comes, you'd get a shock of your life at the charges.

Amazing food. Gorgeous staff. Incredible food. Couldn't fault the entire meal from start to finish. Best birthday dinner ever!!
