Burly Bird - Burleson

Even though they were out of two things we wanted, they made up for it and didn't charge me for my fries. The pockets were delicious!

Honestly, I've been waiting for a place like this to hit Burleson. The food is absolutely delicious. I love the wings and the waffles! Both were super flavorful! I got the Thai and sriracha bbq wings and the strawberry shortcake waffles. Curious how the other flavors are! If you get a chance, I'd suggest trying the teas! They were wonderful and super refreshing!

Despite this oversight, the flavors and textures of the food were enjoyable. We waited at least 12 minutes for our order, even though we were the only customers at that time. There were three employees working, and the two guys in the kitchen came out to chat with the girl at the counter about personal matters for a few minutes, which distracted her and may have contributed to her forgetting some toppings. Overall, I would recommend this place, but next time, I’ll make sure to check the takeout box for all the extras before leaving!

The staff were fantastic! They took the time to explain the menu, including the food and drinks (teas). They also shared the most popular flavors with us. We tried the lemon pepper, buffalo, and garlic Parmesan wings, along with cheese sticks that the kids adored, fries, and a plain waffle. The prices were reasonable—not too cheap but not overly expensive either. The place was impeccably clean and nicely decorated! What I appreciated most was that the manager, Carlos (I think), took the time to go over everything with us. Great customer service and very polite! We’ll definitely be back.

The potato wedge fries were absolutely my favorite. The buffalo hot boneless wings had a nice heat to them, and the flavor was definitely enjoyable. However, the lemon pepper wings had a bit too much seasoning for my taste. The strawberry shortcake waffle was decent, although I think adding a strawberry syrup would enhance it. While the cookie butter provided an interesting twist, the waffle itself was quite dry overall. If we return, we'll definitely explore different wing flavors because the chicken was cooked perfectly!
