The Som - Burlington

I highly recommend this place; you definitely have to try the fried deviled eggs. During my second visit, I learned that there is off-street parking just to the east of the restaurant.

I had heard great things about Som, so maybe my expectations were set too high. The quality of the food was good, but the selection wasn’t impressive, and most prices were on the higher side. For instance, it was $14 for just four small steak street tacos, with no side included. They were out of a few items, and the service was slow, even though the place wasn't particularly busy. However, our server was very pleasant, which helped improve the experience a bit. Almost all the entrees were priced between $12 and $16, not including sides. I will say that their Crab Rangoon Nachos were amazing, and I will definitely order those the next time I visit.

This restaurant features beautifully preserved original architecture. The specialty drinks are outstanding, and the service is genuinely attentive. I appreciated every detail of this establishment! The atmosphere, food, and drinks are all fantastic. It's a must-visit while exploring Jefferson St!

This is a lovely restaurant. The presentation of the dishes was impressive. The food was quite good overall. The onion rings were the best I've ever tasted!

A few days ago, we returned for our third visit and were excited to see pozole rojo on the menu. My wife and I both ordered it. The presentation was fantastic, but unfortunately, we were both disappointed by the taste. There was little to no flavor at all. Authentic pozole, which I've had many times, is usually very flavorful. I will definitely return, but I won’t be ordering that again. This is the only reason I gave the restaurant 4 stars for food. Our service and the atmosphere have always been excellent. In fact, we've had the same server for all three visits. She's very courteous, knows the menu well, and is always prompt with drink refills and to-go boxes. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends, but I wouldn’t recommend the pozole.
