Halifax Donair - Burlington

If it wasn't for the view out the window of Fairview St. in Burlington, I would think I was in Halifax having my donair (a Canadian east coast twist on the traditional doner kebab on a pita). So, just close your eyes and use your imagination. On second thought, don't close your eyes, because these are the real thing of beef, sweet sauce, onions and tomato, including being messy.  I like adding hot sauce and maybe cheese to my donairs; there isn't much in the way of different toppings, just quantity. There are only about a half dozen tall stools at counters to eat at; don't expect to be able to sit down to eat. It looked to me that most of the business was take away. I can't say anything about the pizza, as I haven't tried it. You can get a decent pizza in a number of places, but a real Halifax/east coast style donair. This is the place for that.

I love the authentic Halifax-style donairs at this place. It's the only spot west of New Brunswick where I'll eat donairs. I've tried other places, but they just don't compare. Whenever I'm in Burlington, this is my go-to spot. It's small with just a window counter and one small table, but the food is so good. The staff is always friendly. The only downside is that they're not open on Sundays, which is typically when I'm in town.

A friend of mine highly recommended Halifax Donair to me while I was in Burlington. They make their own in-house sauce for their Donairs, and I really enjoyed it the first time I tried it. I will definitely be returning.

THE BEST DONAIR'S AROUND. The only donair that does not leave you with bad after taste. The owners are friendly and cheerful. This place was recommended to me by a friend and I will recommend it to anyone I know. If you are ever in the area don't miss this hidden gem.

This place is the best !!!!. We just discovered this place 1 week ago. We have been back 4 times!!They make the best donairs anywhere. The pizza is nice too.Tonight we also had the Greek salad...sooo much tomatoes really good.The deep fried pickles foe 5.00 were crunchy and the dip added nice flavor.The food is very consistent and the portions very large.
