Viva Sue uses the greasiest cheese, critical in properly binding the toppings and sauce to the crust that is dry and crispy to the touch but moist and gooey inside. A family run pizza joint I would gladly drive 30-mins for.
This is the best pizza we have discovered in Burnaby. They are very generous with both the cheese and the toppings. While I was waiting for my takeout order, the owner showed me the premium ingredients they use. We tried all four of their specialty pizzas and they were all fantastic! When I mentioned that I like to add my own cold anchovies at home, he insisted that I take the ones they have in stock--they were excellent.
I believe this restaurant serves authentic pizza and it's one of my favorite places to eat. The speciality pizza made by the chefs is truly exceptional, but even a regular pepperoni and cheese pizza is also delicious. The pizza is greasy with plenty of stringy, bubbly cheese and generous toppings. This is one of the best pizzas I have had in British Columbia.
After almost 8 years of living in Burnaby, we have finally found our favorite pizza place. While Romano's is good, we noticed some changes in the crust and cheese quality since the new owners took over. We prefer restaurant-style pizza over fast food chains like Dominos and Pizza Hut, so we decided to try Viva Sue. The pizza was amazing, with the perfect amount of salty cheese and a delicious crust. Some have mentioned that the pizza was too oily, but we didn't find it to be a problem. We also ordered a Greek salad, which was one of the best we've had from a delivery restaurant. The delivery time was a bit longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. Overall, we were impressed by Viva Sue and will definitely be returning.
Real Cheese and Consistently Good. Pros:<br/ Real cheese,<br/ Topping are put on with care(every bite has all of the toppings, right to the crust. <br/ Fair pricing vs. quality<br/ they don't abuse the crust to toppings ratio.<br/ dough always tastes fresh<br/ Nice employees/owners<br/ <br/ Cons:<br/ location is a pain to get in and out<br/ oddly not as filling as I expect from pizza
