The Goose - Busselton

Went here for lunch Had the wood roast rock lobster. Foodwise lobster was good but not amazing. Tasted thawed from frozen and not fresh so had that taste to the meat. Onion rings were very good My daughters pasta meal the sauce was on the watery side. Service was excellent.

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. The seafood chowder soup was very rich with a lot of seafood but a bit salty cheesy for my liking. They put in 3 large fried fish balls in the soup which didn’t go well. The fried squid was ok and the Asian salad that went with it was tasty. The view was great as it looks out onto the jetty. We didn’t have any desserts but they do offer a good selection.

We asked if we can seat at any table as we entered but was ignored by a staff who were serving food. She may not had heard us. However it was quite confusing to get orders. The staff approached us but we were not ready but when we were ready to order, there was no one to attend to us. Hence, we walked to the counter but were told that since we are sitting inside there was no number and someone will serve us. Food was quite good and presentable but on the more expensive scale.

Stuns on this piece of jewellery when we took the children to see the mainland play areas. The swordfish dish was excellent, and all our other dishes went really well. The children's menu was also great, the nuggets were not too broken in contrast to other places we were.

Had lunch here before doing the jetty aquarium tour, great burgers and coffee. Friendly and quick service. Well done.
