City Brew - Butte

The coffee isn't great at all. I've visited several City Brew locations, and unfortunately, I haven't had a good cup at any of them. I usually order a 16oz almond milk latte, but they always add way too much almond milk, making it taste like just that—almond milk. Even when I've asked them to use less, it doesn't seem to make a difference. My wife orders a 16oz Americano, and she hasn't enjoyed theirs either. Overall, I would rate them slightly above the terrible major coffee chain options that you find everywhere.

I usually love this place and always order the same thing. Despite them cursing at me twice over the past year—my own fault for not checking—I continued to visit, just paid differently and reduced my visits. Today, however, when I ordered my usual, all I got was a cup filled mostly with whipped cream and a little bit of watered-down coffee at the bottom. Unfortunately, I can’t leave work to get something else.

This was my first visit to any City Brew, and unfortunately, it seems we encountered a staff member who may have been having a rough day. She appeared frustrated that we weren't ready to order quickly, which was understandable since it was our first time there. When we got to the window, the same employee, or possibly another one, handed us our items without any communication. Initially, the lack of acknowledgment made us think she might be deaf or mute, but that wasn't the case at all. Overall, the experience felt quite unpleasant due to the rude service.

Adorable ?western? themed cousin of the big Seattle coffee chain. Delicious Carmel Machiatto and oat milk chai! We stopped at the Butte location in the morning and thought it was so good we stopped at the location in Missoula at lunch time for a pick me up!

Despite the rude customer service and the high prices, the food was fantastic! The monkey bread muffin and spicy sausage biscuit were outstanding. However, the sausage and egg burrito was a bit disappointing as it lacked the expected sausage, and the egg could have used more seasoning. Overall, we visited around 11:12 AM and were the only car in line, so it didn't seem too busy at the time.
