The Deck Poolside Bar & Restaurant

The atmosphere is extremely relaxing especially in the al fresco dining area. The menu has something a little different in every course and the favourites for the less adventurous

The Deck is the dining room of the only 5 star resort in Broome - Kimberly Sands. We were guests. It is in keeping with the establishment. Our first experience was dimmed by a noisy group of 8 Adults and 11 kids who had been on a trek. Probably imagined they were still in the bush. We were unable to be moved as the restaurant was fully booked. We later moved to a quieter section for coffee which was appreciated. The food was worth the inconvenienceQuantities are reasonable and quality the best we enjoyed in Broome. The service is a little slow but professional. Prices were about those of the better establishments but nothing matches the ambience which is delightful either by the pool or the garden. We visited the following evening - ensuring that the previous evening group would be absent and enjoyed the more laid back experience with friends. It was worth the second chance. The Deck deserves a better rating as some of the higher rated places are generally lunch or tourist attractions - this is approaching fine dining.

The food was truly excellent but perhaps it was a Sunday evening, and service was slow. Lovely sitting outside by the pool in very comfortable warm evening. The venison carpaccio melted in my mouth. Good wine selection too.

We enjoyed a reasonable priced lunch by the pool at Kimberley Sands Resort. The food was wholesome, well presented, tasty,fresh & served by cheerful staff. I enjoyed the daily special pulled pork burger with chips while my wife enjoyed a light and fresh beef salad. The Deck Poolside Bar & Restaurant primarily caters to in house guests but I'm sure day visitors would be welcome.I did though find it concerning that the Resort stipulates that "No glass objects to be taken into pool area" when beverages in glasses and meals from the The Deck Poolside are served by staff to patrons in that area. I'd recommend eating simply eating in the restaurant proper.
