Cactus Club Cafe - Calgary

We walked-in on a Monday dinner rush. It looked a bit crowded, but we easily got a table for 2. If you're claustrophobic, it may not be the best place for you. But the vibe is cool. Server came right away and offered drinks. We didn't feel that she was pushy or overselling the items. Just the right amount of friendliness. She was knowledgeable about the food, so she was very helpful with us, first time customers. She was also always available in the area, we disnt have to wait or raise our hands for anythinh. The food was divine and served on time. Lol! It was good food. We had some truffle fries needs a bit more truffle for my taste , buttersquash soup highly recommended! and Prawn Ravioli a must! Cheesy ravioli topped with plump prawns topped with fried kafir lime, swimming in this buttery truffled sauce . We were already a bit full by this time, but our mains arrived, we couldn't resist a bite or finishing it . We had Spaghettini Meatball pasta was delish on its own, meatball wasn't bad and Cajun Chicken Creole juicy thick chicken breast blackened with spices topped with cajun butter, with asparagus and creamy mashed potts . Overall, we're glad we spent a celebration dinner there. Tip: you get a small happy birthday awesome cake. Food and service were superb so we definitely want to go back. My family (a group of 7) recently had dinner here on a Friday evening at 6:30 when it was very busy. When I made the reservation, the large table big enough to fit the group was fully booked that evening so I reserved two booths parallel to each other, When we arrived they seated us at two booths but in opposite areas of the restaurant as there was a mix up with the reservation. We tried to sit outside but it was too windy. Staff was very accommodating and friendly and did their best to seat us as close together as possible given that the restaurant was so busy. We all agreed that the staff was very friendly, the service was great, the food was very fresh, tasty and arrived quickly. We appreciated the free appetizer due to the mix-up with the reservation. We highly recommend this restaurant for the delicious food and great service!!

We visited last night, February 9th, and experienced exceptional service. The food was delicious and it was our first time there. We will definitely return and highly recommend it!

Well what can I say about Cactus Club Barlow Trail......absolutely awesome! Great food, staff went to a huge amount of trouble to make our daughter a special cocktail and to top it offf, when I lost my jacket, Anthony went out of his way to locate it, sent me an email to let me know then returns the jacket to our hotel so it could be shipped back to me in Australia! You guys are awesome! I old highly recommend Cactus Club Cafe...they do a great job, great food and great service

The food and service at this restaurant are top-notch. I absolutely adore this place and highly recommend it.
