Írjon visszajelzéstWe went to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have been happier with the food, the service, and the ambiance. There was quiet jazz playing in the background, dim romantic lighting with small chandeliers above each table. Our server was there when we needed her with a professional and friendly demeanor. We shared the dry ribs and they were the best I've ever had! Big portion and very meaty. I had the Filet au Gratin which was wrapped in bacon topped with melted blue cheese and it melted in my mouth. It was done to perfection (medium rare) and not a bit of fat on it. Very tender, tasty, and juicy. I would definitely order it again. My boyfriend had the special which was a 10 oz Prime Rib for $18. He loved it. We enjoyed everything about our experience there and will definitely be going back.
The dishes are on the expensive side. I wouldn't mind spending $30 for a select steak but I would have a problem paying $26 for a chicken breast which is the same price as the halibut. Conclusion is that the chicken is overpriced. Pasta is pricey too. At $24, it had a good number of prawns but not enough salmon and pasta. Kebab special was too small for $32. Need more dishes at around $21 $25.
The prime rib in my eggs benny was a grey, paper-thin slice of (at least) day old meat. The breakfast potatoes were also (at least) day-old, lukewarm remnants of kitchen leftovers. My guest ordered the Halo Breakfast with similar results. We did not finish our meals.
My wife and I had great meals. My steak was excellent and my wife had the seafood fettucine, substituting rice for the pasta due to a gluten sensitivity. Cesar salad was great and sourdough bread was fresh and warm. Although not inexpensive, it was a great dining experience.
We regularly have dinner at Halo, at least once per month because the food, wine, and service ar eexcellent
