Hearts Choices Vegan Cafe - Calgary

Really great thaiI haven't really explored the Calgary thai scene so I was very happy that the first thai restaurant I try turns out to be amazing.

A !! Absolutely loved this placeIt's nothing fancy but the food is on point.

So nice to have a whole vegan cafe!__Just knowing that no one was tortured or terrorized for that food makes it already several steps up in my book.

We frequent Hearts Choices on Macleod Trail frequently and love love love the food and the staff! That Nan is a gem! Such a sweet lady!I was ecstatic when I discovered that Hearts Choices offers frozen fare at the Calgary Farmers Market. I have purchased their frozen curries probably close to 10 times and they are the same delicious quality as you will find at the restaurant. The reason that I am rating this location a 2 out of 5 is because the young man running the shop does not exhibit the same warmth and friendliness as the folks at the restaurant. Each visit he encourages me to buy $50 to get a "free item." This is probably part of his job but the delivery is flat and pushy. Nonetheless this weekend, while purchasing 4 curries worth $10.50 each, I did add one more to my order as per his suggestion to meet the $50 minimum to get a free item. Here's the part that incited me to write this review: I added another $10.50 curry to my order and he says "I neglected to tell you that the free item max is $6.75" and he deducts $6.75 from my order. No offer for me to reconsider, no genuine apology. It felt like a bait and switch and certainly does not reflect the culture of the restaurant. Just be up front about the discount.

Uhhhmazing!Vegan paradise!Not only do they have too many options to eat in the restaurant. Makes choosing so difficult! From the jackfruit poutine with vegan cheese to the Thai and Indian curries to the variety of desserts! The best part- you can pack frozen foods for a week of a road trip!Love, love, love it!
