National on 17th - Calgary

Great spot, I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was super. Beers were great too.

Chicken wings were great. Music inside was very loud. It was very hard to listen to each other. Went there to catch up with friends. Server was a little unprofessional. It felt like we had to take decision in split seconds, no eye contact, and we had to wait to place order. We moved to another location next door and we ended our evening well.

This is probably the weakest National in Calgary. Despite of having barely any customers, it takes over 20 min to get a drink. The staff is not properly trained. I saw a waitress chatting with the bartender while my drink sat on the bar for over 15 min because my server prioritized cleaning tables rather than serving customers. There is another establishment right next door and they are always packed. National you can do better.

Best beef dips in Calgary, and I try them everywhere. Our server Emily is always just a beauty as well. 5 stars all the time.

Drinks were okay. Our server was really nice, she was so patient with us; good customer service overall ?
