Fabulous dance hall that featured live Son music by Septepto de Santiago in Santiago Cuba. The look immediatey puts you in the mind of the era of the 1940s and 1950s. The hardwood, beamed ceilings, tall doors beautifully detailed veranda are stunning! Dancing space is limited but all space is used! This is a gem and must see if visiting Santiago de Cuba. Located very close to the centrum and Parque de Cespedés.

Nice place for some live music and dancing, though with $5CUC entry. The band were great and made an effort to engage the crowd, though it was almost entirely tourists. A good place to test out/ learn some salsa skills

Bajando de la plaza, buscando la casa de la música conocí la magia de Cuba cuando me topé con la casa de la trova, donde el papá Almenares me canto tangos de mis país y sones del suyo, y tuve la suerte de escuchar a Omara Portuondo, y toda la gente de la trova que es fantastica

There is an entrance fee of 5 CUC. I expected live music during the whole evening, but it ended up at 9pm and then it was only records... Cocktails are 2-3 CUC. Definitely better if you know how to dance a bit of salsa!
