Romantic - Calvià

Earlier during the day both myself and my wife were walking through Peguera Boulevard when a female pedestrian remonstrated with us because we were in her way. All hands in the air and comments to us in Spanish. We weren 't in her way and we are always aware of other people using the footpath. Later that afternoon we dropped in to the Romantico Bar for a couple of drinks. Seemed like a nice place although I was concerned about a drain outside on the main road as a place that might harbor mosquitoes. (This proved correct as I ended up with 5 bites). When we got our bill we noticed that the price of a small beer was €3.80, considerably more than other establishments. I know that they have live music and sports TV and this might be the reason for the higher prices but when we were there no of this was taking place. Anyhow, when we paid for our drinks we used 3 x €2 coins, 1 x €1 coin and the remainder, including tip in 20c coins. The reaction from the person serving us was priceless.....hands in the air, speaking angrily about all the coins etc. I realised that this was the same lady who had remonstrated with us earlier in the day on the footpath. I was sorry that I didn 't take back the tip portion of my payment before leaving. We left the Romantico Bar and moved to the Treff Bar where the same beers were €3 and the service excellent.

Had tapas here one evening. As a solo traveller I find I am always given the worst seats, here was no exception, the tables on the footpath are in the way of people walking by but are also very small. Don't think you'd fit a meal for 2 on them. Spicy fries were roast potatoes with tomato sauce tasted fine but not what was described. Food was fine but not memorable. Service was very poor, staff were busy but had no system. There were people skipping the que, took at least 30mins to order. Food was slow to come out. Cocktails were nice but I'm not sure there was even alcohol in it.

Great place to visit when your in Peguera. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, theres always a live singer on to keep all the family entertained.

I would definitely recommend stopping by! Whether you are looking for a delicious cocktail, tasty tapas, a full meal, or just some fun music you can’t go wrong! There is a great selection of drinks, spirits and food! The staff are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make you have a nice time! I would recommend without hesitation!

11.50 euros for a beer and a glass of sangria!!!! waiter was friendly, perhaps he was profit sharing! Did notice they had music most nights but not for us at those prices
