The Cafe On Bridge St - Cambria

You can't beat this place for lunch. Sandwiches are great and the soup is usually really good too. Update June 2022: Still amazing sandwiches and soups. The best place for lunch in the area.

I had the Island Burger, which was a great mix of sweet and spicy. My wife had a gluten free tuna sandwich, and the girls had a grilled cheese and a Turkey club. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the outdoor seating was nice, with lots of greenery on the back hill. I would highly recommend and we will definitely return next time we are in Cambria!

Hidden down a side street a block from the main drag, this place seems to be popular with the locals and I'm not surprised. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and prices are good for the area. Locals may direct you to the side door of this converted bungalow if they notice you heading towards the front. Step inside and you're greeted with a patient smile and quaint throwback interior. Once you order you'll find seats inside, out front, or in the back patio. I had a darn good turkey club. It had sprouts! I love sprouts. The sprouts and thin cucumber slices took it to the next level. The sandwich was so big that I could only finish half of it. The rest I took back to my campsite (a great Hipcamp farm location) for supper. Their homemade coleslaw was the perfect side. Delicious!

This place deserves attention we got The big sur sammich,Tuna Sam,Turkey and ham sammich where really Amazing!!! 30mins before closing!! But the real KING!!! was the CHILE RELLENO GRILLED CHEESE!!!! We have never come to this town btw the minute I took a bite my taste buds woke up!!! I hope it never goes away!! And more people order it, its a must try!!! I cant wait to drive back! Thank you!!! Check out that BACON!!!

Absolutely the best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had! I make the drive here twice a year (a three-hour trip) just to enjoy these sandwiches. What an amazing discovery! The pastrami is my favorite—it’s tender, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. I also tried the French dip and the Italian, which were decent but not as impressive. If you’re anywhere near this restaurant, it’s a must-visit!
