Big mistake - very ordinary indeed, even my unfussy young people who love Vietnamese food were not impressed at all. Not one of the 4 people at the table enjoyed their lunch. Hainanese chicken was ordinary and served with thick sauce on a saucer that tasted yuk and looked and smelled like it came from a bottle. I didn't use it and so had unremarkable chicken and rice. No-one liked their pho. Need to step up the game if serving food to paying customers.
Nice quiet spot with low cost food options is always a winner for me. Especially a pho the "day after" as a quick and tasty rehydration option compared to other "hair of the dog" choices.
Love going here. My wife had been searching for a good Vietnamese restaurant in Canberra for over 5 years and had pretty well given up. That was until we saw little Saigon open in the city. We are now regulars.
Been here a few time. A casual dinning place with ok service. We only ordered either pho or bun bo hue. Great flavour. Consistently good food.
Been here a few times for lunch and I must say I'm impressed! Good Vietnamese food for a reasonable price. The Banh Mi (Pork sandwich) was good and actually had pickled veggies in it. The coconut juice also tasted a lot different to the usual canned variety you get at Asian restaurants (with their thick perfectly square chunks of coconut 'flesh'). I also once ordered broken rice with pork chop and crab meat. At $13 I was expecting a modest lunch. Instead I got a gargantuan pile of rice with a pork chop on top with various extras (see pic). Good value for money!
