Altamar Restaurante Espanol - Cancún

We googled and came to this restaurant as the comments were very positive. The guy who served us was very friendly, and always paid attention to details so as to make customer feel comfortable and enjoyable.He explained the dishes patiently. The food was great, especially the seafood paella. And we tried the seafood special and steak as well, they were good. It decorated in traditional Mexican style, with traditional music, many hats and stars hanging around, and outdoor tables. We put on the Mexican hats n took many pictures.At last, he treated each of us a shot of tequila. This is just a nice place for an enjoyable dinner. Don't miss it.

Popped in for a few drinks on our last day. The guy had asked us to stop in the night before and recognised us and gave us a lovely welcome. It was pleasant, the drinks were 2 for 1 and it was definitely served with a smile.

Service was good and food options were good. Seafood was okay and Mexican options were good. AGAIN Nov Salsa with meal? In Mexico I expect Guacamole and or LOCAL salsa. ONCE again neither were provided. Food was okay.. nothing to go out of your way for.

Fuimos con mi compañero por unas cervezas y algo de comer y optamos por menú mexicano. Yo pedí un poc chuc y el un plato que venia con distintas cosas. Todo estuvo riquísimo y los platos son abundantes. El guacamole es riquísimo y se nota que fue preparado en el momento. La atencion de Nacho, el camarero que nos sirvió, fue lo que mejoro todo si es que algo faltaba. Los precios económicos para ser cancun y la relación precio calidad es muy buena. Recomendable¡

Excellent choice if you want a good breakfast that locals appreciate for years. Great food, no nonsense staff and service. They carry a big variety that is good for meat eater as well as for vegetarians and even vegans. Fabulous experience for the last 10 years that we visit.
