Shorty’s Hot Dogs - CAPE MAY

The restaurant uses delicious Berk’s brand wieners and offers great service along with tasty spicy mustard. It is located across from the Icona hotel.

Since coming under new ownership, this restaurant has experienced a decline in quality over the years. We used to visit regularly during the summer, but after our last experience, we will not be returning. Despite the lack of crowds, our order was completely messed up when we received it. We attempted to reach out through various channels - phone calls, Facebook messages, emails, and even Instagram comments - but received no response. Both the food and the customer service have taken a turn for the worse. We have been loyal customers for over a decade, but now we recommend checking your order carefully before leaving and ensuring it is still hot.

Disappointing hot dogs. If you enjoy the bland taste of a boiled hot dog, then you might like these. However, we will not be lining up to get these hot dogs again.

Been here many times dating back to the previous owners . It is a Cape May landmark nestled on the always busy Jackson Street area . It is a fun place with interesting toppings and names for hot dogs , other salad options specifically tuna and varied frozen sodas . Warning ….if you go there prime time , namely 12- 2 , be prepared to wait ..and wait …..and wait . If the line is around the corner , you are seriously looking at 30 -40 minutes . No exaggeration . The line does not move fast . Are the hot dogs good? Yes they are . Is it worth the wait ? Heck no in my opinion. I would clearly suggest going early or after 3 or you will be questioning your sanity by the time you get your food
