Mario's Italian - Cape Town

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The lasagna was amazing, and the spaghetti with salmon trout was excellent. The salad was delicious and the service was friendly. We live in southern Germany and often vacation in Italy, but this was even better than what we've had there!

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in Cape Town. Whenever we visit from Johannesburg, stopping at Mario's is essential. We enjoy chatting with the owners, who feel like family to us. The dishes are outstanding; you can truly taste the homemade quality and the love and care that goes into them.

We had an absolute perfect Christmas eve dinner. We had 2pasta dishes and a plain magareita.<br/ <br/ The gnocchi was probably the best I've ever eaten, and the homemade pesto was authentic. I would go back any day for their authentic Italian pasta.

I was so hesitant to go here because of all the bad reviews online, but we had an absolute blast. Food is amazing. Owner and family is so present in everything about this restaurant I honestly felt like I was at someones home. Corkage is R35!! But their wine selection is lovely too. Will def go back.

This charming Italian restaurant captures the warm and inviting atmosphere of a classic Trattoria straight from Italy. The genuine Italian chef prepares each dish with the freshest ingredients, dedicating the time and care that only true Italians can provide. The veal was exceptional, and the pasta was simply divine. And the semifreddo... wow! It's a true hidden gem; I will definitely be returning!
