Ty Breizh - Carantec

We had a dinner here and a lunch in this pleasant bistro on the main square. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is typical French bistro. The food is varied with crepe, mouth, fish and meat.

I was last in Carantec in 1966, when it was a simple fishing village, today it is full of holiday homes with a vanishing local population that cannot afford to live there. The son of a former mayor spoke about this aspect that...in many other charming towns and villages, the Ty Breizh offered a good lunch to pass some of the time while waiting for the bus back to Morlaix. In summary, it seemed to be one of the more attractive restaurants in the city, but I would not travel far to eat there.

A large choice of crepes. The outside area was nice. Difficult what to select which is always good. Nice and pleasant sever

We had not realised the extent of this creperie as it extends back into a garden with the possibility of a sea view unless there is mist. The soupe de poisson was excellent as were the gallettes and desert. The staff were friendly and helpful....We shall return.

The staff was friendly so that is a plus, but the service was incredibly slow. Which would be ok if the crepes were good but they weren't. We eat crepes a lot and honestly these were not better than what we make at home. For...a creperie in Brittany we had higher expectations.
