Izakaya Carbondale

We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday! We ordered several items from both the happy hour menu and the specials. Our top picks were the Wagyu beef ribs, the eggplant veggie roll, and the spicy edamame. Cz was our server, and he provided excellent service! A great bonus is that they allow dogs to dine with you on the outdoor patio. My husband grew up in Boulder, where most restaurants don’t permit dogs even on patios, so this was a delightful surprise for us! We will definitely be back! For vegetarian options, the eggplant roll is absolutely delicious.

I had my first night at Izakaya, and I can't emphasize enough how thoughtful and delicious everything was. As someone who is gluten-free, I was pleased to find a gluten-free menu with fantastic options, complete with Tamari without any fuss. Both my fiancé and I, regardless of dietary restrictions, enjoyed a wonderful selection of dishes, great drinks, and attentive service. The food was outstanding—the kalbi short ribs, sushi, spicy edamame, and fried rice were all incredible, along with the hot pot. While it is a bit on the pricier side for Carbondale, it's definitely worth it compared to Aspen, especially when you consider its sister restaurant, Kenichi.

Food was very mediocre. They get two stars for having plant based options. We ordered all 3 plant based rolls, they were extremely mediocre, much smaller portioned and overpriced compared to other sushi restaurants. Spent 50$ on 3 rolls and we were disappointed and hungry when we were finished. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were overpriced and disappointing. Service: Take out

We went to have dinner at this restaurant and the food was amazing . We ordered 2 cocktails , Appetizer and entrees were delicious and we finished it with a fresh strawberry tart dessert .
