Pizza Express High St - Cardiff

Certainly, a request is a request when dining at a pizza restaurant in Cardiff. I specifically asked the waiter to have my egg cooked soft on my order. Unfortunately, the service was slow and the chicken wings I ordered for 6.95 arrived wet and soggy. The lemon taste was present, but the king prawns in garlic lacked flavor and the dish was served cold with diced tomatoes and peppers. Not worth the 6.95 price tag. The pizza dough was good and generously topped with cheese, but the egg was overcooked. It's a bit disappointing overall.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. I have never had a bad meal there. However, I had to send back 2 glasses because they were not cleaned properly (lipstick, etc). Otherwise, I would have given it a 5-star rating in all categories. The service is always pleasant and fairly quick. The atmosphere at the St Mary Street location could use some improvement. Would I return? Definitely.

Yesterday, we decided to dine at Pizza Express before attending the Michael Bublé concert and we were extremely pleased with our experience. Our waiter, Fraser, was outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. He was polite, attentive, and had a friendly demeanor. We were so impressed by his service that we felt compelled to write this review, as it's rare to receive such exceptional service even in more upscale restaurants. Fraser is a true asset to Pizza Express.

Great family meal. Lots of choices for a range of tastes, good choices for children's meals too. Ivo our server was friendly and attentive and he even spoke a little Welsh to us which was very much appreciated. Will be visiting again and very much recommend.
