India Gate - Cardiff

Had a meal there last night. The chicken vindaloo was the best curry I have ever tasted. Not only that, the price of the food there is very reasonable. 5 stars for you India gate

5 star Amazing food and facilities. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was very nice. Was a very lovely night out. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Myself and my friend went for a meal tonight, first time eating here. There was only one other couple there and us, waiter wasn’t happy that we hadn’t booked but said they could fit us in, it was 5pm. Within 5 mins of sitting down our orders were taken, and when I finished my meal and my friend was still eating hers, they came and asked if I’d finished and I had they took my plate away and I ordered another drink, she then finished hers, they asked if we wanted coffee/dessert we said no and next thing they brought the bill without us asking and we hadn’t finished our drinks., that was at 6.15, felt rushed out. Not good service at all.

Rushed meal, waiters hovering waiting to take plates away, were there an hour for our meal.

I have eaten here several times. The staff are friendly and efficient . Food arrives in good time and is a reasonable price. The menu is traditional for this type of restaurant, It does not try to over Europeanise normal dishes. Four chutneys are provided with free pupadums . Indian music is played in the background. A solid reliable straightforward restaurant.
