Lakeside Mediterranean Shawarma

A great place for take out shawarma. My order was fresh and hot and the staff were friendly and courteous. A nice selection of food choices and most reasonably. Would definitely return when I visit Carleton Place again!Kid-friendliness: Casual seating with room for families.Wheelchair accessibility: Located at street level.

I was visiting from the East Coast, where donair are plentiful but I have yet to find a good shawarma. Having lived in Ottawa and Mississippi Mills for 38 years, and back for a visit for the first time in 10 years, I really wanted it... we were out for a tour of the area as I had lived in Almonte and Clayton for quite some time, and we landed in Carleton Place at lunch time... and I 'm so glad we did. Lakeside Shawarma yum. I had a chicken shawarma wrap, and the turnips were amazing, the chicken was fresh, flavourful and tender. The garlic sauce, the onions.... the first bite was like coming home. I may have made some slightly inappropriate noises... mm. My father had never heard of any of the things on the menu more of a meat and potatoes guy , but he ended up with the falafel.. 'I 'll just have 2, or 3 of those ' he said... well at that point you might as well order 6... so we ordered 6 and he did NOT, in fact, have 2 or 3... he had five and a half.. LOVED them... I had the other half and they were truly the BEST falafel I 've ever had, and I 'm old...So, I "m back on the East Coast again, shawarma-less... *sigh* Next time I 'm in the area I will absolutely drive out to Carleton Place and go here for lunch!

I usually go here i drive an hour and half for the food it’s delicious but however i went there and the older man working was extremely rude it was not Moe another person maybe the brother im not sure but he was very ignorant in his service i wasnt very welcomed feeling he shouldnt voice his opinion on my bf being in the car and how he dont deserve both garlic sauces very disappointing because usually everyone working there is completly friendly and welcoming this came to me as a shock i hope i dont get another occurrence of this service again
