This signature dish from Carlinville is still going strong! I highly recommend the chili; they serve it with a generous amount of crackers and will keep your iced tea refilled. It's truly the best chili I've ever had!

I'm likely one of the last remaining members of the original Taylor family. My father shared that the business was originally owned by two brothers, but one eventually took control and sold it. Regardless, I have a strong affection for all types of chili. My dad would occasionally order a case, and our family always enjoyed it. Years ago, my dad and I visited the parlor in Carlinville, and we spotted a man behind the counter who resembled us closely. I wanted to say hello, but my dad preferred to stay low-key. I plan to order some Taylor's Mexican chili—not only because it's delicious, but also to connect with my Carlinville roots.

This Chili is above average.. like way above average. I went to Springfield and couldn’t find anywhere that compares with Taylor’s Chili

Been going to Taylor's for years..every since I was a little girl.. fast and friendly service.....great atmosphere..very clean...

I’m SO disappointed, I went to Taylor’s today, made it there 5 mins before close. Got a large chili to go. It was absolutely fantastic starting out but as I got to the middle bottomish of the cup it clearly was not Taylor’s anymore. You can clearly tell by the picture. I really am one unsatisfied customer. I want that Taylor’s Chilli spice in my mouth still when I get done eating it and I definitely didn’t when I was done.
