L'oasi - CARLOFORTE

An Excellent restaurant down a side street. The food is exceptional Sardinian fare, mainly seafood. We ate here twice during a stopover and found it reasonably priced and great service.

Our visit to this restaurant was excellent. It is slightly off the Main Street, but only a minute’s walk. Tables are both outside and inside and, despite being extremely busy, the service was excellent. We went on the recommendation of friends, who came with us (their third visit in a week) and were not disappointed. The waiting staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. I don’t really eat seafood, but can get along with tuna most of the time so, as we were in the tuna capital of the Med, I chose Tuna Tartare to start and Tuna Carlofortina for main. Both were excellent and the tomato based sauce with the main was absolutely delicious I would give both courses a 9/10. The local red wine, whilst very light drinkable was not quite as good as the food, I would still order it again. Tiramisu for dessert was good but not fantastic. Overall the experience was superb and, if in Carloforte again, I would definitely return.
