Miguel's Cocina - Carlsbad

Our evening family dinner enjoyed us very much. Marcos, our server, knew the menu, had a great setting and was some of the best service in CA that we experienced. The food was so delicious. Enjoy trying all salsa and diving (we dug a salsa flight? Definitely for another margarita!

Have you been with Miguel for years? I used to be in Coronado, but this time we stopped to Legoland and it was just as good. I am usually a taco shop type person and do not go to sit Mexican restaurants often. We quoted a 50-minute waiting time because it was happy hour, but they sat us in 15 minutes. Our waiter was very nice and helpful with the menu. We love the chips and Jalapeño cheese sauce and the salsa, it was as good as we remember. I have the Chili Verde with corn and flour tortillas, they make the corn tortillas in the house. They were very good, but I like the corstortillas better than the flour. The Chili Verde had a good spices that was not too hot, but was definitely noticeable. I also like her beans and the rice was good. My daughter had a chicken and a cattle enchilada that she disappeared. My son had two fish tacos that looked amazing, and he ate every piece of them. My wife got a combination of platter El jefe, with Carne Asada a Tamale and an Enchilada and she ate every piece of it and loved it. I tried the Carne Asada, which was perfectly medium-sized, rarely cooked, which is difficult to do with such a thin cut beef. So juicy and tender, and full of taste. The Tamale was super and not dry and the Enchilada was also good. I had a dust and the children ordered two virgin Mango Daiquiris, but they were too mad for them. My wife ordered a Piña Colada and it was great. We wish we had room for Dessert, but it wasn't in the cards. All staff were very friendly and helpful the place was clean and the bathroom was nice.

Good food, good prices. Delicious Margaritas! The service is slow and if you need something is hard to find someone. Chips and salsa are the best.

Always so incredible food here, it is usually busy, but honestly we will sit fast (without children though). The Barbacoa is to die and they have good specialties. Extra kudos to the delicious quest they serve free with the chips, it?s addictive!

Miguel's was spectacular. We sat at the bar and got margaritas, they were so delicious! Hugo helped us out and we ordered the empanadas, they were a must have! And the trip fajitas, the chicken, shrimp and portobello mushrooms all cooked to perfection! It's beautiful inside with all the unique art and decor. They were so good, We suggested Miguel's to everyone we met at our hotel!
