I was looking for a sushi restaurant that offered rolls, not just sashimi. This is the only place I've found in the northern county where I can enjoy delicious rolls instead of having to settle for sashimi alone.
I wouldn't recommend this place. They clearly don't know how to make seaweed salad. They just dumped some seaweed on a typical garden salad you could buy from a grocery store, which was quite odd. When we asked to return it because it wasn't what we expected and wasn't described on the menu, they refused. After that, it was difficult to trust their ability to prepare authentic sushi rolls.
We just moved to the area and we were on the hunt for a go-to-sushi spot. Unfortunately, Super Sushi just didn't cut it. I ordered to take it and go to an empty restaurant. Not the worst thing about a Tuesday at 5:00, but also no great sign. The fish has lined quite fresh and large slices, but this is the only positive I have. The rolls were filled with rice, almost obscene. Our spicy salmon hand roll was made spicy by a few slivers from Jalapeño. The rice simply tastes strange, to taste. It just felt rough and will not return.
The service was really good and we had rolls before we knew what was happening. We got a few of the specialty rolls (The Padre roll, albacore deluxe,Carlsbad roll) and they we all really good and big rolls. My wife also decided to get the vegetable Yakisoba and she loved them. At the end of the night we took most of the noodles home and 6 pieces of the rolls. Servers we all on their game. Very enjoyable!
